Deacons
The Deacons Court is the management committe of our church. Their main role however is to fund the mission of our church through supporting the minister and the many programmes our church runs. Through them we also support the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand, an overseas missionary couple. Every month they give away 10% of our funds in hand to a project outside of our parish. It is often a local family in need or another Christian agency in NZ who is asking for funds.
Deacons Court meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.00pm.
The Chairperson of Deacons Court is Pam McKenzie ph (09) 4321298

Giving
Our Church is almost entirely funded by people regularily donating money. Some "tithe" giving 10% of their income to the church - some more, some less. Our official policy is to give generously according to what you can afford. This is a decision of prayerful consideration. All giving is confidential and in our system no one knows who gives what except for you.
If you want to give regularily or make a one off donation this how you can do it:-
1. Through a regular amount via our "Envelope System" where a record is kept and you are given a tax receipt for charitable donations at the end of the financial year. Contact the Parish Administrator to get on this system of regular giving.
2. Regular Direct Credit into the parish bank account. Contact the Parish Administrator for a "giving number" so you can receive a tax invoice at the end of the financial year.
3. A one off donation of cash, cheque made out to "Waipu Presbyterian Church" or Direct Credit. If you require a receipt please contact the Parish Administrator.
